Good Week (Week 74)

Elder Call, Yael, Elder Herman
Good week! We got to see the baptism of Yael Santillan Solano! It was a very good experience. We sang some great primary hymns and his mom also was able to be there! Yael is awesome and said an amazing closing prayer! He is a good example to others as well and is always wanting to do the right. I gave him the famous HLJ (CTR) ring and explained it to him and he says he is never going to take it off! He is now part of the squad, haha. We also went with an investigator named Hugo. Freddy talked to him about the church when he was putting in a new tv network and he is golden! We taught him about baptism and he was really excited, but he's not married. So we talked to him about that and he said it was in his plans, but he wants his wedding to be like a movie. So we got really excited telling him that after he gets married by the law, and 1 year after their baptisms, he will be able to get married in a castle for time and all eternity! I love temples! So he is really excited and has been coming to church the last 3 weeks! Man I love this gospel so much! I love helping other people know of the amazing blessings that God has given us!
Spiritual Thought Of The Week
Well this week as a mission we fasted. I have a lot of trust in the power of fasting and I know it works! We also went with Omar last night and we are going to fast so that he can receive an answer for when he should be baptized. I know that God will see his effort and bless him with an answer. Fasting is something we can do when we need something specific. We ask for specific things, put in our part, and then we see miracles! It is something simple but that is hard enough to be worth it! Geez, God is good! I love being a missionary and helping others come to Christ! I hope we can all call on the powers of Heaven and receive the blessings we need and that God wants to give us!

Milagros (Week 73)

Elder Call and Elder Herman
Wow this week went by fast! My new companion Elder Call is awesome. I am so excited to be with him! We are already working so well together and seeing miracles. But sad story.. Tuesday when we were at transfers the grandma of Yael called me crying and said that Yael's mom wasn't going to let him be baptized. This was 5 hours before the baptism. It killed me man, it made me so sad. But it was his birthday, so we went and gave him a cake and some candy. Yael is the sweetest boy, he was so sad, but when we got there and gave him his cake he got really happy. Then last night we went and did a family night with them and his mom was with us. She is a member but she's just inactive. So in the family night we talked about the armour of God in Ephesians 6. Then at the end we asked the mom about Yael's baptism and she said this Saturday! Wahoo! So that was a tender mercy and his mom's pretty cool and needs our help. Freddy was there with us and he gave her a blessing and she started crying. It's great using the priesthood! Then another miracle. We went with Jesus this week and reminded him of his baptism and he said he is ready for this week, on Saturday also! Whattt?! So we are hoping for 2 baptisms this week and about 9 as a zone! The most we have ever had in a whole month. So we are looking to make history! I am so excited!

Spiritual Thought Of The Week
This week I'd like to talk a little about what we talked about in the family night last night with Yael and his family. It starts in Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Then in verse 12 it says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Then it goes on to talk about the armour we should put on. It is so important that we have this armour to be able to overcome spiritual wickedness. Day by day we are challenged and tempted and if we are not ready he will attack us where we are weak. We must strengthen every part of our armour and we will overcome everything. Then in verse 18 it talks about prayer. “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit. And watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” Prayer is a power that we must always use. I hope that we can all be strengthening our armour so that we can win this battle here on earth. Our Heavenly Father has sent us to fight and has also given us what we need to come off conquerors. I love you all so much! Always remember to do the simple things!

Transfers (Week 72)

Transferssssss! Well I am staying here in Tultepec! I am going to have 6 months here! Haha. 1 year and just 2 areas, crazy! Elder Passeri is leaving and Elder Call is coming and its funny cause Elder Passeri trained Elder Call! But he is a really good Elder. He has trained and been district leader his whole misión. He is from New Mexico so another gringo! And well we worked with Yael a lot this week and he has changed a lot honestly! He is only 11 years old but wow! His grandma bought him pants and a white shirt to go to church and he was excited for that! He already passed his interview and will be baptized tomorrow! So we are excited about that! Also this week we could have 7 baptisms as a zone! So that would be awesome! I am really excited for this transfer, I am going to make it the best of my misión!
Spiritual Thought Of The Week
Last night we had a family night with Edgar and Rita and a lot of other people, it was great. First off, I love Edgar and Rita so much. They are awesome! They got baptized in December and are really strong in the church! But we talked about the importance of putting God first in our lives. We had lemons and dirt and they had to put it all in a cup. The thing is if we put the dirt first, then the lemons, its doesn't work. We have to put the lemons in first and then the dirt. In our lives we must put the important things first, like the góspel principles. And then we can put in the dirt, like things of the world. If we put things of the world first we cant fit all the important things. But if we put the important things first like the principles of the góspel everything fits! There is a scripture in 3 Nefi 13 in verses 32-33 that says “For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have a need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” If we seek God first everything else will come. We must have the faith sufficient! Sometimes we trick ourselves with putting the dirt first and about 3 lemons fit, but it doesn't all fit! Be careful because that stage is dangerous and it tricks us. I promise you all, that life is much better putting God first. I have seen it in my misión! I love you all and hope you can all seek God first and see the blessings that you will receive!
